Lakhs of students from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), formerly UPTU, are growing increasingly frustrated and dejected due to the prolonged delay in the announcement of various examination results. Despite the conclusion of the festival season, the university has not provided any concrete updates, leaving students in a state of uncertainty about their academic future.
What is the Current Status of AKTU Results?
As of late October 2025, the official AKTU circular page shows no new notifications regarding the declaration of pending results. This delay is not a new issue for AKTU students, who have faced similar situations in previous years. The primary results that are currently awaited include:
- Even Semester Results: A significant number of results for the 2nd and 4th-semester regular exams are still pending.
- Carry Over Paper (COP) Results: Students who appeared for carry-over exams are also anxiously awaiting their scores.
- Challenge Evaluation Results: Many students who applied for re-evaluation of their answer sheets months ago are still waiting for an outcome.
New Expected Timeline: No Results in October
According to the latest information, students should stop expecting results in October. The university is now projected to release the pending results only in November 2025. This is a major setback for students who were hoping to get their scorecards after Diwali.
Why Are Students So Frustrated?
The frustration is justified. Students from the 2nd semester have already been promoted to the 3rd semester (second year), and 4th-semester students are now in their 6th semester (third year). They are continuing their new semester without knowing their pass/fail status from the previous one. This creates immense mental stress and uncertainty.
- Uncertainty about whether they have cleared all subjects.
- Inability to plan for future exams or potential backlogs.
- Delay in applying for scholarships, internships, or further studies that require a marksheet.
